About the Program
The Intel Learn Program is geared towards children and youths whose access to technology at home and at school is limited. Its intent is to reduce the “technological gap” through innovative teaching, in order that students who participate in the program can acquire abilities and be competent in the following:
- Technological Literacy
- Critical Thinking
- Teamwork
The National Pedagogic University (UPN) has participated in the program from its beginning. The University has been responsible for the adaptation of program materials for Mexico, for carrying out evaluations and tracking of activities, and for providing pedagogical support.
Participating members in the program include the Ministry for Social Development (SEDESOL), the General Office of Libraries of the National Council for Culture and the Arts (CONACULTA), the Ministry of Public Education of the State of Chiapas, the Fund for Children in Mexico, as well as diverse non governmental organizations and institutions of private assistance.
